Tell us a little about yourself and how you got into the beauty industry:
My names Chloe, the owner of Contoured by Chloe, and my journey in the beauty industry began around 8 years ago, with a genuine passion for all things beauty and making people feel confident in themselves. What started at a young age, as a love for makeup and enhancing natural beauty has grown into a passion for semi-permanent makeup, specialising in brows and lip blush.
For the majority of those 8 years, I’ve built my business alongside a full-time job, balancing the two and growing Contoured by Chloe whenever I could. But after recently being made redundant in June, I decided to take it as the opportunity I’d been waiting for and finally take the plunge to go all in with my business, which is already paying off and I couldn’t be happier to be doing something I genuinely love every single day.
My aim has always been to create beautiful, natural-looking results tailored to each individual, while making every client feel comfortable and confident.
Why did you decide to train in SPMU?
I’ve always loved makeup and in particular the transformations it can create and how something as simple as enhancing someone’s features can make them feel their very best. Seeing the boost in confidence it gives people is what made me want to take that one step further and train in SPMU.
I loved the idea of creating longer-lasting transformations, helping people feel confident and beautiful without having to rely on makeup every day.
What’s your favourite procedure to perform and why?
This is a tricky one because I genuinely love both brows & lip blush! But if I had to choose, I think I’d say combination or fluffy hairstroke brows. I find these transformations so rewarding, especially seeing how much of a difference they can make to someone’s features. Brows are the crown of your face! 👑
What is your favourite part of your job?
Without a doubt, my clients reactions! There’s nothing better than seeing someone look in the mirror for the first time, seeing how happy they are with their results and knowing that something I’ve created and worked so hard for has made that much of an impact to them.
Being my own boss and having the freedom to build something I’m truly passionate about is also a huge bonus!
What’s been your proudest moment of your career so far?
I think my proudest moment has to be taking the plunge into becoming fully self-employed and seeing it genuinely pay off. After years of balancing my business alongside a full-time job and a busy lifestyle, seeing my diary fill up and knowing I’ve built this for myself is such a rewarding feeling.
And, of course, this! Being chosen as Tech of the Month amongst so many other incredibly talented artists is a huge achievement for me. It’s something I’m genuinely so proud of and a lovely reminder of how far I’ve come. 🤍

What is your favourite Cosmedic Supplies product?
I love all things Cosmedic Supplies! I get most of my stock from there. The Luna+, Kwadron & CS Universal cartridges are my go to’s. Brovi pigments are insane; I particularly love cocoa beans for lips & Deep dark brown for brows.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Hopefully, having grown Contoured by Chloe into something much bigger than I could have imagined. I’d love to expand the business, continue developing my skills and knowledge, and one day have my own training academy where I can teach and inspire other artists; that would be my goals. But ultimately, I want to keep pushing myself, be the best I can possibly be at what I do and see how far I can take the business I’ve worked so hard to build.
